Sydney is entering a three-day heatwave that has the potential to include one of the city's 10 hottest November days in 156 years of records. The Bureau of Meteorology lifted its forecast for Wednesday's top to 36 degrees from an earlier reading of 34 degrees because the sea breeze now looks likely to be weaker than expected.
